Salary range is $41,712-$51,840/year, dependent upon education and experience.

The Information Technology Division of the Missouri State Public Defender Office is seeking a full-time Application Developer to join our exciting team-based work environment. The IT Division, located in Columbia, supports over forty offices located throughout Missouri. The Public Defender Technology environment includes Microsoft operating systems, HCL Notes software for email and application development, and Visual Studio for .NET applications. This position offers the opportunity to enhance existing applications, develop new applications, work with end-users to provide support while gathering feedback and complete other duties as assigned.

Important considerations in filling this position will be experience with database structures, application programming, application testing, writing documentation, and systems analysis. Familiarity with LAN/WAN concepts, HCL Notes, and object oriented programming are considered a plus. Candidates must have an Associates or Bachelors degree, with at least 15 semester hours in computer science classes. Experience in computer systems analysis and design, software support, end-user support or closely related areas may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for deficiencies in required education.
