NAPD Virtual Conference March 14-16, 2024

If you were unable to register for Spring Training, an alternative virtual conference is available next week. There are 15 registration openings left that MSPD has paid for. These are available first-come, first-served. Please email Marsha.Plank@mspd.mo.gov if you are available for this training and want to request one of these openings!

Please note: CLE: NAPD is not applying for credit – but MSPD is. We are applying for CLE for the program. You must attend the live sessions to claim in-person CLE credit. If you watch recorded sessions, those can count as self-study (up to 6 hours). Please disregard NAPD’s disclaimer about CLE as it does not apply for MSPD registrants.

Tickets are still available – claim your ticket today!

The 2024 Rise. Resist. Represent. National Public Defense Virtual Conference will provide over a dozen topic areas to provide to the wide variety of professions and practice areas in public defense across the country. There will be skills training, but also opportunities to explore innovations, systemic litigation, development research projects – and to network with thousands of colleagues who champion the right to counsel and for the opportunity and dignity of their clients. See the most current listing of confirmed sessions.   More being added daily.

Dates: March 14-16, 2024

How do I register? Email Marsha.Plank@mspd.mo.gov

Can’t attend live sessions, but want access to the recordings: Like last year’s virtual conference, NAPD will be recording at least 90% of the sessions. Sessions not recorded will be noted in the description on Sched. Recorded sessions will be available to everyone who registers for the conference. However, you must be registered and activate your account BEFORE the start of the conference to have access to the recordings.

CLE: NAPD is not applying for credit – but MSPD is. We are applying for CLE for the program. You must attend the live sessions to claim in-person CLE credit. If you watch recorded sessions, those can count as self-study (up to 6 hours). We will have more information on CLE soon. Please disregard NAPD’s disclaimer about CLE as it does not apply for MSPD registrants.

Apply soon…spots are limited!

Don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions or if further assistance is needed. Hope you can take advantage of this great training opportunity to connect with defenders around the country!
