District Defender – Springfield Trial Office

The Missouri State Public Defender is seeking an experienced attorney to serve as the overall managing attorney for the Springfield office. Duties include daily administration, managing personnel, training, caseload management, and ensuring high-quality representation for clients served by the 26-attorney office. The District Defender will report to the Regional Division Director.

Licensed attorneys with criminal law experience and a passion for justice and equality are encouraged to apply. Management experience is a plus.
