District Defender – West Plains Trial Office

Salary: $8,040/month

Job Description: The District Defender serves as the managing attorney for the West Plains District Office. This six-attorney office handles cases in Howell, Oregon, and Shannon counties. In addition to caseload responsibilities, the District Defender is responsible for:

• Case assignments
• Monitoring employee performance
• Hiring
• Development and implementation of office policies

Qualifications: Must be a member of the Missouri Bar and have criminal law experience. Management experience preferred.
