Financial Specialist – Accounting

Salary: $40,176–$48,156/year, depending upon qualifications and experience.

Job Description: Individual performs a variety of fiscal functions with responsibilities in accounts payable and accounts receivable. Duties include:

• Processing employee expense reports and vendor invoices
• Reconciling financial reports
• Addressing lien and recoupment issues
• Significant phone contact with clients and vendors

Successful candidate will have:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and 10-key experience
• Knowledge of accounting procedures and practices
• Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
• Good written and oral communication skills

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, public or business administration, or a closely related area. Progressively responsible work experience in closely related areas may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for education requirements. Knowledge of the State of Missouri SAM II system a plus.
