Holistic Defense Services Coordinator
Salary: $4,058/month
The Holistic Defense Services (HDS) Coordinator is responsible for HDS program support through grant administration and coordination of HDS administrative activities. Duties include administering existing grants, ensuring grant compliance and maintaining grant-related records, providing office and administrative support services, and coordination of the day-to-day office operations. Given the assignment to the HDS division, interest and/or experience in holistic advocacy, social work, public health, and/or public interest is preferred.
General supervision is received; however, the employee is expected to exercise a high degree of initiative and independence in the performance of assigned responsibilities.
Examples of Work
- Administering grants, including ensuring compliance with grant administrative, training, recordkeeping, and reporting requirements
- Preparing reports and deliverables for grant reporting and renewals
- Providing administrative support for HDS including scheduling interviews, onboarding new staff, and assisting with IT issues
- Conducting AmeriCorps background checks on applicants
- Managing day-to-day office operations including ordering office supplies, managing logistical needs, and coordinating meetings and training events
- Providing administrative assistance to the HDS Leader
- Performing other related work as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong research and writing skills, with grant writing and reporting experience preferred
- Ability to compile and analyze program data
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products with strong command of Microsoft Excel and ability to quickly learn new programs
- Strong desire to constantly improve knowledge and skills
- Ability to establish positive working relationships with others
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to coordinate projects and meet deadlines
- Integrity and a high degree of ethics, with ability to maintain confidentiality

- Knowledge of AmeriCorps programming and reporting preferred

Qualifications
Experience in grant administration or program evaluation strongly preferred. Prior office experience required; legal, nonprofit, or government setting preferred. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university required; Master of Social Work or related field preferred. Relevant experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for college.
