Human Resources Assistant

Salary: $2,520 – $3,348 per month depending upon qualifications and experience.

Job Description: The Human Resources Assistant will help in administration of the human resources initiatives within the Missouri State Public Defender. Individual is responsible for processing job applications; responding to applicant inquiries; handling new hire and other paperwork; answering reception calls; assisting with payroll processing; issuing ID cards; responding to employee benefit questions; and providing other administrative assistance to human resources and operations staff.

Minimum Qualifications: Three years of office or related clerical experience. Previous human resources experience is a plus but not required. Position requires good organizational skills; attention to detail; strong oral and written communication skills; and proficiency in a variety of computer software packages.
