Information Technology Support

Salary range is $33,936-$44,004 dependent upon education and experience.

The Missouri State Public Defender System has an opportunity for an individual to become a member of their Information Technology Support Team. This opportunity is for a full-time, benefit-eligible position which offers an exciting, progressive, fast paced, team-based work environment. Position is located at the home office in Columbia, Missouri with other remote offices throughout the state. The technology environment includes Microsoft servers and Microsoft Windows desktops and laptops utilizing HCL Notes for email and software applications as well as Microsoft Office. Primary duties include supporting end-users on all applications and software products used in the MSPD system. Troubleshooting of PCs, peripherals, and basic LAN hardware is expected. Position will be asked to perform PC software setup and configuration. Important considerations in filling this position will be experience with customer and technology support, strong communication skills, information system general support, and basic security knowledge. Knowledge of LANs, WANs, servers and printers is desirable.

Minimum qualifications include at least one of the following:

-Successful completion of an Associates of Arts program with at least 15 semester hours in computer information systems or closely related course work
OR
-Three years of experience in the operation of PCs, servers and computer peripheral equipment.
OR
-Four years of advanced clerical experience which afforded knowledge of the IT systems and functions
