Specialty Practices Support Services Coordinator

Salary: $4,058/month

Job Description: Individual will be responsible for assisting the Children’s Defense Team, the Parole Revocation Defense Team, and the Specialty Practices Division Director. Duties include:

  • Scheduling hearing dates and client visits
  • Handling office management
  • Processing discovery
  • Contacting witnesses and serving subpoenas
  • Conducting interviews
  • Serving as liaison between Probation & Parole and the Missouri State Public Defender
  • Opening and closing case files
  • Coordinating office service activities, including tracking budget and expenditure information
  • Processing invoices and directing communication with vendors
  • Conducting inventory and ordering supplies
  • Providing clerical support to the District Defender and other staff attorneys
  • Coordinating support staff assistance from other local public defender offices

Qualifications: One year of technical or professional experience in legal or office services management or other closely related area, and graduation from an accredited four-year college or university. Relevant responsible administrative experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the degree requirement.
